The two guys I see being the most likely to be moved are Kapanen or Johnsson because they are on ~$3.5M deals and that's approx what you'll need to get Marner his ~11M deal.
Right now, the Leafs have $3,765,301 in cap space, + 5.3M when Horton can be LTIR'd. It's possible with a couple guys sent down to the minors you could get the money freed up but right now they only have 13F/8D signed and the team would want to have at least 11F(+Marner)/7D travelling with the team. Sending those 2 guys down would only free up an additional ~$1.5M depending on who goes down (Total space would be right around 10.5 with the aforementioned moves).
I don’t see them moving either of the guys they just signed , those are much better value contracts than the nylander contract. And some cap hit would be coming back presumably. I see it being Nylander almost for certain with a 3-4 mil contract and pick coming back.

Yeah, for marner or generally any rfa that needs 4x 1sts is too much
Depends on the team, a rebuilding or middle of pack team no way, 4 1-15 picks are not worth it. For a team expecting to be top 10 in league yes, no way you replace a guy like Marner with 4 20-30oa picks. Odds are only 1 maybe of those guys will stick in NHL let alone become a 100p player.
As a general rule 1-15oa 2/3 bevome NHL regulars , 15-30oa 1/3 become NHL regulars.
