So we went from a goldy/leivo/Roussel/ericksson in and out of our top 6 to ferland/miller/Pearson for now. That’s some nice size. No complaints from me unless over paid.

Hoping eriksson is gone too, his signing bonus is july 15. 9mil for the next 3yrs in real dorra, with 6mil cap gud for cheap owners trying to reach cap floor, spending only 3mil a year instead of 6 a year

I don't know how this works unless they're just exchanging players but nobody is eating cap.

The Canucks need to dump cap and Dallas is almost at the ceiling.

Would the Canucks not somehow be better off burying more then one contract?

Acquire cogliano and comeau to save the 2 mil by burying both contracts in the minors? I can’t see what Dallas motivation would be for doing this. I count about 10 NHL forwards on their roster ( giving Erickson the benifit of the doubt) and 900k to work with instead of having those 2 players to dress and not require filling 2 empty roster spots.

my guess is they're banking on loui performing like his old self again coming back to Dallas, rather than banking on those 2 other players to be more useful than him.
i can actually see loui performing way fucking better in Dallas or anywhere he WANTS to play for than the shitshow in Vancouver

Doubt Eriksson can perform anywhere close to his Dallas prime, and I doubt Dallas is expecting that.

However he's still a better player than both Comeau or Cogliano.
