He doesn’t want to play in Europe but he’s put himself in a situation where that’s probably going to be his only option. The oilers can only gain by letting him develop finally.

He hasn’t stated any intentions of where he might play in Europe that I know of. He has said ,or his agent has, that he would prefer to play in the nhl next year.

Just not for the oilers. Afaik he has requested to be traded.

Ya I think I read somewhere that he prefers to stay in NHL but not with the Oilers, but also has no problem playing overseas if Oilers don't trade him.

But that was before Holland joined the Oilers

Gotta follow the Oilers 1st round player development strategy:

1. Bring him into the lineup at 18 in a major role
2. Crush his confidence
3. ?????
4. Trade him

It's funny cuz it's true. Like their 1st season aren't too bad but then their 2nd season or their first full season is when their confidence gets crushed and proceed to decline

Depends on if we dress him for a nhl game in the next 3 years or not.
