A few #Canucks notes on Day 3 of free agency:
— Tanev is still available. Think team wants to move some $ to pursue that top-6 W with several candidates still unsigned. Perhaps return a cheaper D.
— Sutter is available but coming off terrible season might have to recoup value
With a good start to season. Not much value now.
— Schaller’s camp pursuing a change of scenery. Trade would return almost nothing. Just send $1.9M out.
— Getting concerned that there is no landing spot for Eriksson unless Canucks willing to ship out prime asset w/ him.

the benning special: react 2 years too slow, and trade players when they hit the lowest value, in fact, add an asset to get takers!

Word around League right now is some teams interested in some of the remaining top UFA crop are trying to create extra cap room/cushion. Partially why things are quiet at the moment.
