5 players have full NTC including macdonagh, palat, Johnson, gourde and killorn. Definitely not easy. They dodged a huge bullet with Callahan going on LTIR tho.

Yea they got room to sign point and fill the 4 or so bottom roster spots, not sign a big name ufa.

I figured we would be the ones grabbing Zaitsev unfortunately. Their contracts will be pretty much the same salary-wise, Zaitsev just has more term, not like we're in any danger of reaching the cap for 2-4 seasons anyway.

I wouldn't even be mad if it was a 1 for 1 trade. It's not really a cap dump for Leafs though... they still need to clear room for Marner, so there needs to be something else
