Not sure why you think this. They only need about a 3 week "off-season" most players would rather not take extended breaks and play consistently.

i dont see why they would even do this i saw an argument its for the economy but how so? if theres no fans its not like its creating jobs for people that need it like the stand employees
if theres no fans the owner/arena doesnt make any money but still has to pay the players to play?
players get paid but also get put at risk of getting corona and id say most probably dont need the $$
how would they even broadcast them? pretty sure u need more then 5 people to properly broadcast a game u going to have the announcers at home casting from their couch?
how would the locker rooms be safe?or the actual game 20 or so guys sweating sitting like a foot away from each other..or even playing you check a guy with corona and his infected sweat goes onto your face or something?


the only real winner here would be the nhl because they would likely be selling their streaming packages out the ass

Yeah this season is long gone. Next season is still likely to be compromised, hopefully they have considered this..
