That 3rd line is a bit of a mystery to me, those guys pevs and kelly can be so good but they're just not syncing properly right now... I think rolling seguin with the 4th line here and there is awesome.

They are just shutdown on defense. Kelly and Peverley are playing perfect. I'm glad they don't mind that role.

Yea defensively their great, virtually the whole team is.

But they used to generate offense too..

Every time one line wakes up, another falls down. It's a viscous cycle and someone will always get the shit end of the stick.

3rd line never played well at all this year

Yeah, but as bad as they are playing, I'm really happy how they are playing. Kelly and Peverley are always on the PK unit. They are also out there when the Pens top line has been on the ice. That really helps keep our other players fresh. Most importantly, they are disciplined and do not turn the puck
over. They do need to help Seguin though. Just having him carry the puck and shooting it or losing it is pointless.

Letang is their biggest problem imo. He plays offense more than defense it seems, can't pull that kind of stuff against Boston.
