mason sounds like hes fine but hes sick and prob going to start vs the jets

so.. 4 game win streak and won 5 of the last 6 hitting .500
mason gets his 2nd shut out of the season and sits 6th in sv% leaders

you guys think we buy or sell at the deadline? a decent month we could be right in the fight for a playoff spot a bad one were for sure sellers
and if timo is expected back like cratic said we pretty much gotta move a D and it would be nice to make the playoffs for him
emery has been shit and the other day is was mentioned the lack of points with him in games could be why flyers are down so bad too maybe we pick up a new backup?

and man fuck no games til thurs nhl can blow me ><
also the phantoms beat pens ahl team 6-2 leier and akeson had pretty decent lookin goals but nothing super fancy

Sell imo. We all know who needs to go. #5. was gonna go to royals game tonight but work i agree with new backup too, emery hasnt done anything special all season.

idk him and morin looked pretty good in preseason if we keep him they could be a good pairing next season but hes prob the guy with the most value
i dont really want to sell i feel if we can keep the good guys we have now in 2-3 years our prospects are developed and were back to a good team
defense is the issue... if we trade a top 4 guy like coburn ... thats a big hole to replace with guys like streit macdonald ect ect and we already seen how big of a hole timo left already

selling really extends the rebuild into a full like 5+ year one ...i think philly could get away with a quick 2-4 yr rebuild we have good forwards a #1 goalie all mid aged we just need all those d prospects to develop


also id be down with zepp taking the #2 from emery for the rest of the season i was pissed they sent him back down hes played way better
+ when hes in the nhl stolarz becomes the #1 for the phantoms getting more starts

The American Hockey League announced today that Flyers prospect Nick Cousins was named the AHL’s Player of the Month.
Cousins posted seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points in 13 games, which led all players in the AHL during the month.
His 34 points in 44 gp is a new career-high, after scoring 29 points in 74 games last season.

thats a pretty big jump 29 in 74 gp to 34 in 44 gp thats like doubled his last seasons #s if he keeps it up

was reading the nhl.com article about developing goalies saw this and laughed
The Philadelphia Flyers have selected 17 goaltenders in the past 15 drafts, and they have combined to play three NHL games.
just before this i was going through flyers draft years and was thinking " so many goalies taken with late picks" hasnt paid off but they tried
but we got 2 undrafted players that played in the nhl and stolarz prob will too^^

During this modest surge, Chris Vandevelde, R.J. Umberger, Luke Schenn and Nick Schultz have more goals than Jake Voracek,
we finally got some depth scoring

voracek tied 1st and all top 3 have 53gp
apparently zepp is hurt so stolarz is getting called up
atleast thats what i think he said hextalls interviews are so fuckin low can barely hear him and flyers site says GM Ron Hextall updates the media on the status of Steve Mason and Rob Zepp.

he even said stolarz prob isnt nhl ready and i dont think he is from his stats there not bad but not the kinda stats guys that get promoted put up
