Elliott said the Canucks are the most interesting/active team right now (or last a few podcasts ago). No doubt they're looking to make a splash with the draft in Vancouver and Benning's job security looking thin.

It was as much the situation as him I think. The oilers organization put him in a bad situation, he did make it worse with the timeline to succeed he game himself. Bottom line put him in a dumpster fire with fans / organization needing wins now and he had no chance.

Besides his abysmal record, I remember that gif of him looking completely stressed and overwhelmed on the bench, and the time Hall exploded a water bottle all over him, and Eakins has no clue how to handle that on tv. Good times.

Yeah he was in over his head, but everyone has always talked about him glowingly where ever he's been and everyone says he's done a great job with the Ducks farm team.

I don't think you can really evaluate coaches that were thrown into the Edmonton situation. Same goes for a guy like Ralph Krueger.

McLennan is disturbingly overrated though. Guy's done nothing as a head coach but is looked upon like a genius because he came out of Detroit. The year he left San Jose they went to the Final lol
