Minnesota is a consistent playoff bubble mediocre team with no direction. They have no shot at winning anything, I wouldn't want to play there either.

@JasonGregor: I heard from a really good source that Jim Benning and his staff did sit down and discuss a Loui Eriksson for Milan Lucic trade. I see it from both sides. Here's our bad guy for your guy who's underachieved. I was told it happened in April, May, this offseason.

they should maybe consider it if loledmonton adds their 8th OA, retained salary, prospect =) AND if lucic agrees to waive his NMC for the expansion draft.

Not enough for lucic

Rumor was Lucic would retire before his deal ended due to his degenerative back issue. Not sure how much validity there is to that though, havent heard much of it around Edmonton as when he first signed his deal.

If he does take an offer sheet, it'll likely be around 10.5 (Does this put the Leafs in cap issues?). Would net Toronto 2x 1sts, 1x 2nd and 1x 3rd if he signs under 10.568M. I just dont see how Toronto doesnt match if it's under, and if it's over... do you take the 4x 1sts?
