Im more excited about a dman like duncan keith, doughty, pietrangelo, subban ETC. Than a great sound defensive player like Regehr (in his good ol days) and players like him. Dont get me wrong, I reaaaaally like Morin.
But Sanheim is a very, very intelligent player and he is progressing so rapidly its really stunning. You can't teach work ethic, competitiveness (or however its called), hockey sense, pure talent.
I think the offensive d men you described corresponds to Ghost more than Sanheim anyway. Try to watch him play
i havnt seen sanheim play much but when iddi he was doing spins off guys with the puck at the blue line and stuff looked really fancy
that stuff works in juniors but in the nhl not so much but if he can play d then bonus
ive watched ghost a pretty good amount though i watched when his team won the frozen four and shit he was good all around but agree he could be a little weaker defensively then others
he defends differently though he uses his stick a lot and speed to keep with the guys over time he might end up like a timonen type player with a little more offense
