Depends on the break. It could have just been a fracture that would make him feel sore when he talks. Plus adrenaline will do crazy shit, like letang playing with a broken foot and hand.

That's what I imagine.. just something fractured. If the jaw itself is literally broken I don't think you can talk.. I'm no doctor though

According to the team, Stepan underwent X-rays after he left the ice following the hit and they came back negative. He was subsequently cleared to play, but the team sent him to a specialist Friday morning, where a more detailed scan revealed the fracture.

Vigneault would not say whether he expects Stepan to return in this series.

"We'll have an idea of the time frame [Saturday]," Vigneault said.

I just never seen someone break a jaw and yell/talk/chirp for a few hours after it happened. We all know he will be playing next game with a full face.

This

Full face and he is fine. Funny how his jaw was broken but had no problems coming back to the game and talking shit?

Guy, is this your first time watching hockey?

Players return to the same game after a broken whatever all the time. Usually, they don't know it's broken til they are examined after the game.

Earlier this year, Burrows had his jaw broken and finished the game, too.

I've only broken one but have had numerous knee surgeries due to being young and stupid. When a doctor tells you it'll take 6-8 months to completely heal don't try coming back in 4
