im clueless? lol right then why are they being banned?why not other dogs? ive seen way bigger dogs that arent banned
all dogs can have shit owners yet pitbulls are the ones being singled out why?

Pitbulls are scarier. That's the only reason.

All breeds can/will attack. There's plenty of articles and stories popping up now about all the attacks by other breeds, but when you hear someone gets attacked by a cocker spaniel you laugh. I'll tell you right now that cocker spaniel likely fucked that person up.

And out of any breed cocker spaniels are the most notorious biters and yet you'll never hear of them being banned because they are fluffy and cuddling and old ladies like them.


here in canada we do the same thing with guns

"normal" guns are classified as non-restricted, if a gun is built with the same calibre and barrel length etc. but in a way to make it look scary, then it is classified as restricted. they all do the same thing, yet the scary ones are restricted

There are disproportionately more attacks and more severe attacks from pit bulls and related breeds though. Regulation makes tons of sense, it's sort of comparable to letting anyone own a tiger or something, a lot of idiots can't be trusted with them.

This is circumstantial, more pitbull owners are inbred trash types and teach their dogs horrible traits

unfortunately the saying is "one bad apple spoils the barrel" as it's true, competent owners have brought up well trained pits.. and others... well you guys know..


there are facts to both sides, where pits are clearly more aggressive and dangerous especially with their size.

Unfortunately... regulations may be the right way.. I mean whats the real point/ want/ desire to train or tame a dog like a pit..

if you want something cute a cuddly... get something that's cute and cuddly.

people with pits either want them because they think it makes them badasses or to prove people wrong about their nature.. which doesn't always go so well.

Pretty much. Studies confirm that while Pit Bulls may be considered a higher risk dog, most of their owners themselves are higher risk people, thus creating a recipe for a dog-bite disaster.

But, a chihuahua and a Yorkshire terrier are much more ferocious than a pitty. They'll bite more frequently and get away with it. And a pit bulls "size" they are like 2ft to shoulders and weigh 40lbs... this isn't a big dog. But shit. Put a terrier mentality in a dog that size and you get a scary dog.

I've known lots of dogs, and I mean known as in got very comfortable and friendly with the dog. Them being family/ friend's dogs..

the two most savage dogs I've ever known was a Dalmatian and Rottweiler...

The dalmatian would literally rip you face off if it didn't know you.
actually ended up gnawing on a young girls face and was laid to rest..

both horrible owners..

unfortunately that's why there needs to be regulations.. but ima take this a step further.. and show that this is the exact reason why PEOPLE need to be regulated to determine if they should reproduce.
