Honestly thank god they did, it would have absolutely obliterated any value for EK they would have gotten. Can you imagine? Franchise player out, Dan Girardi and a 12 pack of Canada Dry in. Frankly they should be looking at taking some money back to increase the return for EK, but cheap ass owner is cheap ass

As far as I can tell, they basically overpaid him right off the hop. Ontop of that, he's never been close to the player he was in Anaheim. They expected improvement, but he's been declining and injured.

Ryan wouldn't be as bad if he didn't break all of his fingers. He was more of a goal scorer but had to change his style of play because of his injuries. Even nowadays, you see some glimps of the player he could have been. But everytime he starts to play well again he breaks another fingee lmao.
