The issue is they are trading both EK and Ryan in the same deal. They are trying to get rid of the bad contract of Ryan, for essentially no reason other to hurt their return on EK.

just imagine if ottawa finish last in the nhl this year
they trade the franchise player in karlson
and the avs get the 1st overall pick lol
