I feel like Ortio never really got a fair shake, he played one game when the team was playing poorly then never given a second chance. I guess he can develop in the minors some more this year, hopefully he re-signs here next year and this didnt damage the relationship. Granted he is an RFA so that shouldnt be an issue.

I'm not even that sure that the Flames would be able to get any decent value for Hudler this year either. He hasnt looked good at all. We definitely need help at goaltending, these weak goals are absolutely crippling.

Yep Ortio is a big question mark. He has an NHL shutout, and some good games, and then some awful ones. I don't know why he didn't get more games in Oct. He's not the answer this year, partly because Stockton doesn't have a goalie atm. He's only though 24, which is still young for a goalie.

Was just thinking that Hiller lost his Ducks job and was run out of town by Andersen. It would be so cruel if Andersen came to Calgary and fired Hiller a second time. :rofl:

Would be pretty ironic, but Hiller is going to be out of a job at years end anyways. His contract is up and the Flames would re-sign him I dont imagine.

It'll be Ortio/Ramo unless we trade for another option in the mean time.
