Ballard is all over the place lol, he's a forward and defender regardless of his position.
He's playing defence when he's supposed to be breaking out lol ... wtf is going on

lmao I know right?

He did that today for some reason lol... that early shift when Tanev had to switch to being a winger to compensate was hilarious.

He was better at it in the two previous games he had. But what can you do when you're depleted by injuries, we have an entire second line on the shelf.

IMO, we shouldn't be looking for a third-line center at the deadline but instead a second-line right winger to play with Schroeder and Raymond. These guys have shown great chemistry offensively and they are great defensively. When Kesler comes back he can play on the first powerplay unit but more of a shutdown role 5-on-5:

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Raymond - Schroeder - ________
Higgins - Kesler - Hansen
Weise - Lapierre - Kassian

Hamhuis - Bieksa
Edler - Garrison
Ballard - Tanev

I wouldn't mind going for a rental player in that spot because next year Kassian and/or Jensen can contend for it even if we lose that guy to free agency.

That third line would be extremely tough to play against for other teams. They all work hard, they are all great defensively, plus they can obviously add offense.

Line #s don't really matter lol, I just put it that way so Kesler could center a "checking third line".

Our real checking line (without injuries) should be ...

Ballard/Booth - Kesler - Kassian

If Ballard is still trolling the wing or Booth stops being so fragile

Hansen makes Raymond better.
I would keep Hansen Raymond and Shroeder together.

Higgins - Kesler - Booth would have to be the other line.

The only problem is that Burrows or Kassian can play with the Sedins and Burrows is the more versatile player.

If only Kassian could keep clicking with the Sedins :(
