IS THIS GUY FOR REAL LMAO. We rebuild during a year where we don't have our first pick and now the phase one is over ?!?

I don't think they expect us to make the playoffs, but he can't come there and say publicly he expects us to tank lol. We can't have a losing culture like Buffalo

We will have a top 5 pick next season, they are really expecting all of our prospects that are currently in the AHL to come and be good right away. I say the year after is when we should legit start to compete for playoff spots

What was phase 1 though ? Finishing last and giving away a top pick to Colorado ? Or maybe it was trading away every players capable of contributing to an NHL that we had ?

Next year we have to suck again. Then phase 2 can start imo.

phase 1 was to acquire as many picks/prospects as possible I guess.

Phase 1 acquisitions:

Abramov + 1st and possible another 1st
Duclair + 2x 2nd round picks
Brannstrom, Lindberg + 2nd round pick
Norris, Balcers, Tierney, Demelo + 1st + 2nd pick and possible another 1st.

The worst trade he did was to get Duchene in the first place, it would not have been so bad if we were able to sign him though, having him leave makes it so bad. I really like Duchene and liked the trade because I was assuming he would sign. Perhaps he will sign in the summer? We offered him crazy money that he will probably not get anywhere else lol and I don't think he will stay with Columbus

Well if we didn't end up sucking so bad and trading away all our good players I think Duchene would have extended.

While some says we overachieved in the PO that run and that it was expected for the Sens to regress given their underlying numbers, I don't think anyone expected it to be that bad.

Yeah that was most disappointing, but what I think what we must understand is we were that bad WITH Karlsson, Stone, Duchene, Dzingel, Hoffman.... if we cannot be good with those players then a rebuild is fine with me.

I am tired of being the underdog, if we want to be a favourite to win in the playoffs it will be done with a rebuild. I hate losing our best players and it is fucking bullshit. but tbh we do have a lot of really good pieces right now at every position and they added to it
