There's always that backup who has a good stretch and gets considered by teams for a starting position, they tend to be overhyped and sold high

The One that has sorta worked out recently is Talbot. Murray and Vasilevsky don't really count as they actually proved themselves and won their positions over the old starter.

Elliott made a career out of this. Jones is one that worked out as well, but there was no doubt with him
