I hate that political affiliations have ripped apart this country (and to a lesser extent, neighboring countries).
Theres always been a divide, but that divide is so huge right now its ridiculous.

Personally i dont care much for politics, but my views do tend to lie on the conservative side.
and as a result i have lost friends that i have had since high school and even before, solely based on the fact that im not a liberal.

I hate that everybody is constantly arguing about who isnt taking proper precautions solely based on that persons political affiliation.

Idk, im a little stoned atm, but i just think its ridiculous that we as humans cant even get past a political affiliation label.

/end rant carry on

It is an outcome far too likely..... That seems to be the trend in politics though. You frequently have men in their 70's in positions of power. Death or mental incapacity is a noted possibility.

Even in our legal system the most common reason for disbarment is mental incapaciation. It makes you wonder how many cases decided by a judge, or individual counsel designated to represent individuals were not mentally sound handling matters of such importance.

As for your late statement, I will leave it alone because I can not respond to it in a few sentences. That is a very complex issue and if I were to express my opinions on that statement it would be very drawn out.

As for the two way race. It is merely an illusion of choice. I don't see enough change happening with either party. For the most part it will remain status quo.

By the time a politician ascends the hierarchy he/she is bought and paid for at least to some degree. Joe Biden was one of the poorest senate members when he began his career.... Now it has been stated he made over $15 million the past couple of years.

Maybe I am cynical but with the way the system is set out you need to raise millions to run a campaign. The bulk of that money comes from sources with a vested interest in manipulating the guy they threw money at.

This

Our country is ran by big corporations

They fund every candidate with any realistic chance to win a political race to the point many corporations are paying for both sides lol

Money is all that matters and nothing is changing any time in the near future for us.

The Democrats will continue to run a bunch of giant sell outs and the Republicans will either do the same or throw out someone off their rocker who can get votes just by convincing the public he isn't a giant sell out.

Federal lawmakers actually get paid horribly given the scope of their jobs. It's $174K per year to represent the will of about a million people and if you're a Senator, you and one other represent as many as 38 million people. And since the jobs requires you to split time between your constituency and DC, you have to have access to at least two homes... sure you get very generous allowances but for a lot of elected lawmakers they get little in their pockets from the actual job, and they are already pinched heavily just to get there. Total spent on congressional campaigns in 2018 is $5.7 billion, so about $13 million per seat and about $6.5 million per candidate so if you want to be elected in a competitive district/state you need to be an outstanding fundraiser... and I'm pretty sure a big industry lobbyist can shit a lawmaker's salary for breakfast lol. So it's easy for lawmakers to get captured by money, because if they don't get it then they can't spend enough to get elected.

To change away the conversation from the US... you guys check real estate stuff often? I'm flabbergasted at what I see coming up in rentals in my town (Victoria). Landlords and former AirBnB hosts charging rates as if the economy was still humming along. International tourism has essentially died a temporary death, international students are fucked too and BC Ferries just reported ridership was down 92%. Yet there are still people wanting $80/night or $1800/month for a small 1-bed... condo prices seem largely unchanged, the few sells though are usually below ask.

Reality hasn't sunk in for a lot of people yet. The worst is yet to come, once CERB runs out and the masses from the business that won't reopen can't pay rent/mortgages there will be a massacre. The government will be helpless because they already blew their load with historical bailouts and rock-bottom interest rates. And with energy prices in the shitter I don't think even printing money at the cost of inflation would help because the exchange rate would be murdered and make most things expensive anyways.

Exactly, he's that fat rich kid that never takes responsibility and blames others lol. You know what's hilarious? Other countries like taiwan/korea also got the same info from WHO, but they knew they were full of shit and just winnie's bitch. You know what's more hilarious? WHO offered their test kit design to any countries that needed it, and trump rejected it because he wanted murica to make its own. Turned out to be defective and shitty
Yeah, sure WHO is responsible for many deaths around the world but trump is just as bad for his people. Korea's like 4 death per million VS almost 80 deaths per million in murica, lol 20x worse!

Incase you Havnt been paying attention, WHO didn’t declare this a pandemic until March 11.
WHO has been praising China and saying flights shouldn’t be cancelled all the way into janurary.

So yes, WHO is responsible for lots of blame. Stop being so one sided.
The leader of the WHO tried to cover up cholera in his own country when he was health minister.

But keep on the “orange man bad” tirade.

Hell trump was the first to block fights from China and To block flights from euro countries way before anyone else was. And he was being told that was too early and drastic and shouldn’t be done by WHO and everyone else. Now all you fuckers are saying he should have done more. Like fuck off. Impossible to please anyone.

If you Havnt noticed trudea was 2-3 days behind doing whatever it was trump did. But I don’t here any condemnation of Trudeaus actions here. Fucking nauseating hearing the constant whine of you guys.

ALSO. The WHO failed to report there was human to human contact way back between feb/Jan when they fucking knew in November/December and allowed China to cover shit up.

WHO should have shut China down way back in December when they had CREDIBLE evidence of how deadly this is. Yet they did nothing and let this become a global pandemic

Tedros has to go
