You’d think the fact that you guys are so out of step with the rest of the nhl, players, pro sports and more might be a wake up call, but I guess circlejerking to your bigotry on jsp is fun too

They will follow suit and do what must be done to ensure their business runs smoothly.

The league, not the players, postponed games and made a statement. Cancel culture = pleased and in their eyes, NHL and others WOKE like the NBA.

Has anyone heard anything from the owners?

Anyways, back to normal tomorrow.

Was looking forward to watching some hockey today. Instead there’s no hockey because of BLM. Is this supposed to influence me into supporting the cause?

Shitty approach really. Usually when someone does something that bothers a person the response is a negative one not one of support. You’d think this basic psychological concept should be clear no?

Its a pr move to look good to the eyes of medias while most people are tired of blm violent riots. Politics shouldnt be involved with sport, otherwise it will turn into a shitshow real fast. Do whatever you want outside the game

Ive said it countless times that protesting for a criminal with a warrant against him for rap and domestic violence who was resisting arrest and tryed to reach a knife in his car forced the police to use his glock to stop the man from doing harm to them but people calls other biggots for calling it justified cause he shot 7 times in his back. A policeman will shoot at the target until he dosent represent a threat to them or the citizens which means that if after 6 shots he was reaching for the knife, you shoot again

Dosent make sense To me to protest after this situation

Forced to say**

We all know the alternative if you arnt with the status quo. Of course we all belive black people shouldn't be killed. The reasons blm choose to organize/protest over are ridiculous especially before all facts are out. This has been proven literally time after time. Where's the justice for the black lives caught up in the black on black crime? Thats the true tragedy. How many killed in Chicago? 400+ deaths alone! Love the energy but focus it in the right direction.

And BTW, this doesn't make anyone racist.

Anyone who sees those stats and doesn’t see institutionalized racism is a fool. You’re quoting proof. Cop violence against those white people is awful, yes there are thousands of stories. What these riots and boycotts are about is the 2.5 TIMES the death rate by police for blacks. The way your stat presents that for 2020 is purposely misleading. Go ahead and reread your own stats of “215 white deaths vs “111 Black Deaths” in 2020 by police, but this time remember to state that the black population in the US is only 13%, and be horrified.

I don't think anyone is denying institutionalized racism.

The statistics don't like. There is a disproportionate number of African Americans in jail and systemic racism does play a role in that. I am not going to argue against that.

Canada has a similar scenario with First Nations. Common denominator is poverty and broken homes.

All I am trying to say is if you resist arrest, have a violent history and escalate the situation without complying getting injured and killed is a likely scenario.

That is what ended up happening and I cant see why people are surprised of the outcome. Race has nothing to do with it.

He was a threat to the safety of the officers and general public. His prior violent history is a further aggravating factor.

But a white man with an ar-15 out whi just killed 2 people can walk right past police officers and not even be arrested.

How is that not a problem to people lol.

As someone whos been charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest is any violent death i meet now justified? Because 10 years ago some pussy cops charged me w/ bs to cover up their own ignorance?

Being charged with a crime means NOTHING until a conviction and even then many young black America's cant afford representation to get out from charges that their more affluent white peers typically can.

Of course looking at policing and crime stats will confirm your bias because the policing and justice systems are racist in the first place.
