Philly has done quite well with their drafting

Philly wouldn't be scouting for Nashville if Nashville gets their four picks.

No, but it's still a lot for the Flyers to give up....

You realize nashville can offer sheet all they want , but those players don't need to sign the offer sheet there fore it doesn't matter.

I'm looking at it from a Flyers point of view, where giving up 4 picks would be a huge hit to them

I honestly don't think they have to worry about that. Nashville pretty much has to match it. They can't lose their top D pairing for draft picks. Not going to happen.

Getting the best D-man in the league is a huge plus though. Then again, 14 years is a long ass time and the "best dman in the league" changes every two years or so with a few staying near the top like Pronger, Lidstrom, Niedermayer etc. For all we know Weber could have been playing his best hockey for a contract and could become average like Duncan Keith has become.

If Nashville meets the deal in its entirety then yes, Weber has to sign there.

They don't have to match anything but the financial terms. They don't have to match any NTC or NMC.

I'm saying if nashville offer sheets the other players , like voracek , he doesn't need to sign their offer sheet.

it's a done deal, sucks for Philly what a huge amount to give up for Weber
he won't be able to play at such a high level for so long

[edit] he won't even sign with nashville if they offer
