I have nothing against penalty shots in principle, and i get that this is all a business etc. but i kinda hate that they keep altering the game to increase scoring just to increase viewership among casual viewers.
Theres nothing wrong with a low scoring defensive game, if casuals cant appreciate that then maybe hockey isnt the sport for them.

That is the problem. They will always pander to casual fans because the regular fans put up with those changes.

Demko is doing everything he can.

Canucks look flat. In their last win the Oilers heavily outshot them as well.

i was surprised it counted originally glad to see flyers challenged

I think that should be a good goal.

Garland went for the puck first and pushed Hart into the net in the process.

Boeser is pushed into Hart by the defender and the contact is minimal.

There is ZERO consistency with goalie interference rulings.

I honestly have no clue what is going to happen when these challenges are made.

You see outright violations ruled as a good goal and inconsequential contact caused by the defending team ruled as no goal.

Who the hell knows anymore. The league really needs to clean this up. It's a bad look. The same goes for interference penalties. No consistency at all.

The players don't even seem to know anymore.

i think hart makes the save and slides across its garland pushing him into the net that makes the puck cross the line
i dont think boeser really made any effect on the call it was mostly garland not allowing hart to make the save by crashing into him and shoving him into the net

i think that was a pretty straight forward no goal you cant push the goalie into the net to score
