I know they've been through multiple (shitty/terrible owners), but the Glendale thing has never been addressed

Damn near any franchise in the nhl will fall apart if it is ran by shitty owners or in a shitty location and they've dealt with both.. The penguins almost folded years ago for the same shit and now they're the top US market for viewership. The blues almost folded when Purina ran things into the ground and now under their new owners the franchise is in the green.

Their fans haven't been given a chance. Before we blame it on them, let's isolate some variables.

The disaster goes far beyond the ownership group....


The team tried to get an arena deal in place in Scottsdale sometime the mid 2000's and failed miserably.

The team has been hemorrhaging tens of millions since moving to Glendale.

The city is tied into the mess as well with a terrible arena lease. I don't know the exact details but it is just a complete fuckup for lack of a better term.

The toxic work environment is no surprise.

I'm triggered by looking at the Coyotes arena in Google Maps. Surrounded by parking lots, McHouses and strip malls at the edge of the Phoenix metro area. It's somehow dumber than the Senators locating their arena in Kanata.

They play right beside the Cardinals, went to a game a few years ago, nice arena
