If you lay a clean hit you should not be forced to fight the guy you hit.

That is not the way it works.

Heavy hits will be phased out of the game if that is the expectation. That is not what we want.

Tkachhuk will probably drop the gloves at some point but why would he fight Kassian?

He is bigger, has more fighting experience and is less valuable of a player to take off for 5 minutes. Tkachuk would be wise to fight a d-man. Better trade for his team.

If the hit is dirty you have to answer, but not for clean hits that rock somebody imo.

I also disagree, Keep your head up. If it was, he wouldn't be trying to do a wrap around jam play, likely plays it to the D, like he probably should have because tkachuk was out of position. Even on the 2nd hit he should have also chipped up the broads to the Dman.

Seems pretty consistent to me. Nurse mugged a guy, 3 games. Lucic beat up someone who didn’t want to fight - 2 games. Kassian being a caveman, attacking in unwilling combatant after a legal hit - 2 games.

3 examples = consistency?
