There's an epic scoring race brewing in Detroit right now..

Frans Nielsen: 33 games, 0 goals, 3 assists

Justin Abdelkader: 21 games, 0 goals, 3 assists

Jonathan Bernier: 23 games, 0 goals, 3 assis.. wait what

maybe Bernier needs to be given more opportunities to play in the top 6

in the last calendar year, the blues have banked 31 more regular season pts than anyone else in the central and 25 more pts than anyone else in the west.

thats an incredible difference between the blues and the 2nd best team in the west

Pretty obvious stat considering their cup run basically started in January, it's cool to see the number, who was 2nd in west during this time, or in the whole league? I guess Tampa was #1 league-wide?

last year, after jan 3 blues and tampa were pretty much identical

its obvious the blues were tops, but by 25pts to everyone else in the west? that seems like a massive gap

i think #2 is either calgary or vegas, and col and dal were 31pts behind blues in the central

good news
they play the sharks tonight
so all 3 will score a goal

sharks are notorious for allowing "first nhl goal" "first goal in shit load of time" "first nhl shutout" etc
