Way too early to say someone isn’t going to make the playoffs. A guy in my league last year was in last place at all all star game and won. Pretty sure this also happened with the Blues IRL in case you live under a rock.

The trade should be vetoed and if you are the league manager I would step down.

Mack/berg/Tkachuk wins 10000000%

Im of the mindset of not vetoing trades unless they are ridiculously bad. This is probably a trade i wouldnt veto personally even though its pretty one sided, both teams are at the bottom, and the return isnt atrocious like john scott for all those guys, y'know?

Just my 2¢!

That's how I see it.

I talked to some of other guys in the league not involved in the trade. They basically said, you know what these guys are both 1-5, they're both just trying to make something happen. Only one guy in the league wanted to veto the trade.

I looked at it this way. Both sides has a tier 1 player going each way (Crosby and MacKinnon)

The rest of the players are not tier 1. Although I feel McKinnon's team has a better set a players.

Both of these guys drafted horribly. They wasted a lot of early draft picks on Detroit Red Wings players like Abdelkader, etc due to homerism. Since then they have dropped those players and replace them with free agents. Both their teams as is trade or not will not make the playoffs, I can guarantee that. If you saw the rosters, you would agree.

Team 2 won considerably.

As others have said this is not even close...... Mackinnon is the best player in the trade. The main piece going the other way is injured and it is likely E.Kane will regress.

These were obviously new fantasy hockey participants.

I doubt either of them has a clue.

I would veto the trade. However because they are both deabeats and will not make the playoffs anyways there is no reason to intervene in this circumstance.

Larkin went in 2nd round. Mantha and Bertuzzi went in 3rd round. Athanasiou went in 4th round. Abdelkader, Dekeyser, Green, Helm, Hronek, Howard were also drafted by these 2 guys

If you compare player by player

Crosby and Bergeron are 1:1 comparables
After that its

Mac wins Ekane
Thachuk wins Tatar
Barzal wins Henri
Lindhol wins Palms

Can't see how its even close

So it gets even better. Turns out Crosby is now out for 6+ weeks. And the guy receiving Crosby also thought he was getting "the Kane with 3 Stanley cups". and did not know there was more than 1 Kane. 😂

The trade went through yesterday. Oh well
