Nobody give a sh.. When he says that the leafs got too many euro players and that they wont win a cup cause the euros players are too soft compared to NA players but everyone lose their mind when he calls out what he sees in his area and that he ask them to support the army veterans. Was it necessary from cherry to bring this up during a hockey broadcast? No. But also it makes people talk about it and bring even more attention to the memorial day which in a way is good.

I buy a few poppy's every year but i hardly ever have one on, i lose them all the time, leave them in one shirt and change it. w/e some people also just werent raised with it as a important tradition.

Don has been racist since he began commentating. He famously stated the 'Russians are nothing' and talked about how superior Canadians were to them.

He frequently trashes European players as being too soft. He accused Pavel Bure of holding out his contract during the Stanley cup finals because it was clear he hated him because he was Russian.

He only features highlight packs of Canadian or American players when he showcases their grit. Yet he leaves out equally gritty European or Russian players deliberately because he wants to believe that North American hockey is superior and those coming from other nations are inferior.'


I have no doubt in my mind this guy is hateful bigot.

I didn't vote for Trudeau this go around largely because of black face and SNC, not that i tihnk scheer would have been any better.
