If you talk big you should be ready to back it up. Should drop the gloves as others have said. I can understand Tkachuk has that 'rat' type of style that irritates other players but you cant deny what he brings to the table. Wish he was a Canucks instead of Juolevi.

As for the Burns comments I just don't get it....

Burns is second on the team in +/- while coming in at a point per game pace. While he may not be an elite level shutdown D he can certainly hold his own and his other attributes easily put him in the discussion for the Norris Trophy.

Karlsson won the Norris with far less of a defensive presence. I don't see the issue.

While it is a real peeve of mine to see Norris candidates get selected based heavily on offense it's not like Burns is a slouch on D.

/e maybe as other have said Tkachuk has been coached not to engage based on risk of injury before the playoffs.

Kind of makes me sad about the Norris TBH.

However to be fair there is not much weight in trophies that are determined by those who was not playing the game.

I would be honored the most if my peers voted me the best/most valuable player way above any other individual award.
