This is the difference between Columbus and the Canucks when we had Torts.

Torts calls the Canucks out. The team fragments. Some bitch and moan. Some give up on the coach. Some respond with gumption and resolve to the criticism.The result was a dejected team that began to play even worse because they couldn't man up and take his harsh criticism like men.

Torts calls Columbus out. The team all buys in and rallies to go on a wicked win streak when they need it most. Attitude is just as important as ability. Torts is a good coach on a team that has a backbone and character. He is not a good coach if there are some players who are whiny, tempermental, entitled bitches.

That is the difference. Torts is the coach you want if the players are men and can handle a blunt approach.

^ that and also nucks didn't really have torts type of players.
Speed, physical, battling hard for pucks in corner, pk etc.
He was so desperate, he tried to get sedins to play like it

Fair enough.

You're not going to get much grit out of the Sedins lol.

They are competitive guys and I believe they put their best effort in but you cant expect them to play that physical game.
