He still is one of my favorites. Just did not choose him this year because he had that long term injury and has only played 10 games this season.

I still remember him in the gold medal game vs Sweden in 2014 taking the draw and eating up the clock on the boards.

Great two way player who can be relied upon in all situations.

I tend to like the players who play good offensively and defensively. I find that if you can be a great 200 foot player you will do well when everything is on the line which is what really matters.

Ya It is unlikely we will ever see another player score a minimum 30+ goals for 13 seasons (and counting) in this day and age.

Really frustrates when everyone just repeats "how many cups has he won" over and over.

If he can string together 2 or 3 more 30+ goal seasons you could put up the argument that he is the best goal scorer of all time imo.

For me, it's Jonathan Toews. Class act, refuses to give up, great leader, great player, and a winner. A few years ago I had a bet on the Hawks to win. Not sure if it had to be in regulation or not. They were down a goal to the Sabres. I was at working trying to follow the game. There was a minute left in the game and I was called to do something. When I finally had time to see if a miracle happened for me I was shocked to see it did. In the form of Toews scoring two goals in a minute to earn the Hawks the win. Will never forget it.

Also I like Tuukka Rask for his antics and solid goaltending. No player rages better.
