Management totally bungled this trade.
They made it known they wanted to trade Hall then backed themselves into a corner as they kept waiting for a better deal to come along.
Eventually Larsson is the player they received. I don't think they made a mistake trading Hall. They made a mistake in asset management because they could have got a better return from him.
With both the eberle and hall trades we undersold. Larson was a good acquisition, we needed him more than Hall, we should have been able to get a draft pick or something else in addition however. Same with eberle , his time for better or worse was up in Edmonton, he admired he couldn’t play here any more. it was in his head not being able to turn on radio for 3 years without being able to hear the topic being when was he going to break his scoring drought. We should have been able to get a draft pick in addition to strome tho. Also production per $ for strome and eberle is even, PC did nothing with 3.5 extra million cap space and dealing eberle at this deadline would have been best.
