The bet is for the game ..the same as football and basketball
If anyone tried pulling what you are trying to do I would never bet with you again.
You go into the bet thinking whose gonna win not what's the 3rd period score gonna be and if its a tie I win.
No that's stupid and if you want to bet like that than bet on the period.

I've never heard of a bet being only for regulation unless it is specifically stated in the bet.

If anyone tries to pull that on you in basketball or football I'd call them out on it. I don't think it's standard in any of the forums to have a spread only count for regulation, pretty sure it's always final score unless it's explicitly stated otherwise in the bet.
