I think what Tim Thomas realized but we're all forgetting is that a kitten is killed every time a same sex couple gets married. If they just live together it's fine, but please protect the kittens by not letting them marry one another.

Why is it Ok to publicly push a popular political agenda but not ok to stand against it?

The majority today was the minority 50 years ago. They felt that it was wrong for them to not be heard and looked down upon.
Thy were made fun of and ridiculed for standing up against popular opinion. Today, those same people, or at least people with the same views,
have a voice and refuse to let anyone who doesn't have their view speak out against them. Anyone who disagrees is an ignorant bigot and immediately
loses the respect of the other side. Culture has decided that there are certain opinions that it is not ok to have, while simultaneously pretending that
everyone should be ok with everyone else's opinions.
