So if the NHL decides to go with Canada conference for this season, how would you rank the teams?

Habs
Leafs
Flames
Oilers
Jets
Lolnucks
Sens

Playoff is another story, but for reg season that's my ranking.

Canucks under oilers cuz they can't seem to beat the jets  being winless against a team is huuuuge. That's flat 0 pts out of what? 8 or 10? Also I don't think Holtby can deliver, in Canucks system. He's never been a goalie that can make insane amount of high danger saves at a high rate. Demko will probably have more success taking over since he's more used to the system. Petey has a clutch factor though, so idk oilers/jets/Lolnucks will be anyone guess imo.

Dunno if hellebuyck can deliver again, but geez their defense is as bad as Canucks cuz they lost Trouba and buff too quickly apart.

Habs improved their roster a lot, the biggest thing for me is that they got price and Allen. Both goalies are good, and gonna be huge with bunch of back to back games in a tight schedule.

Leafs are great but Andersen can sometimes be ehhh and not sure if Campbell will be good enough to handle more than handful of games. Might have to overwork Andersen, but on the bright side its not 82 games nemore, so to Andersen playing 35+ starts would be nothing to him lol

Oilers didn't address their goaltending at all, so it really depends if mcdavid and drais can just out score FTW as usual. At least they will have huge help from barrie on the powerplay which should easily help do that.

Flames got Marky and he will have a hell of a lot easier time in their system than the Canucks. However I feel that markstrom will eventually slip up and let in softies here and there as season goes on. He just seems to be at his best when he is forced to make 30+ saves a game with handful of insane scoring chances than making like 20 to 25 saves a game and just 1 insane scoring chance to save.

"Oilers didn't improve their goaltending at all"

"In all honesty, Koskinen shouldn’t be catching the flack he is for his 2019-20 season. His 2.75 GAA was the same as Jacob Markstrom’s, who recently signed a six-year, $36 million deal with the Flames. On top of that, his .917 SV% was tied with Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy, who was one of the three finalists for the Vezina Trophy."

But ya. We NeVeR iMpRoVeD

Leafs/Oilers
Oilers/Leafs
Nucks/Flames/Jets
Flames/Jets/Nucks
Jets/Nucks/Flames
Habs/Sens
Sens/Habs

Lmao its really hard to tell, i see alot of these teams tightly contested in chunks. I think leafs and oilers are probably clear cut top two though i wouldnt be surprised if the nucks could find themselves fighting for 1st or 2nd. Mad jumble in the middle between Nucks, Flames, and Jets. And then my bottom two would be Habs and Sens.

honestly the rankings could look like anything. all of the teams have obvious strengths and flaws and should play at a playoff bubble level. except the Sens who should still bottom feeders, but even their youth can surprise.

my prediction:

Oilers
Flames
Leafs
Canucks
Habs
Jets
Sens

I mean yeah, that's literally what i wrote. Your team's goalie are exactly the same, thus oilers didn't improve in the pipes lol. Holland went after Marky too but lost to trev. They're good enough in the regular season, but Koshi showed that he doesn't wanna show up like Vasil or Markstrom in the playoffs despite having their Gaa/sv% xD

Also, there's more to it than comparing gaa and sv%, any clueless person can stat watch without context lol. That's exactly what Colton Pankiw did in a very pathetic way. I can do the exact same to narrate it in a negative way, here's an example,
Koshi should be given flack because he failed to perform in the playoffs and got his team booted by the declining hawks. His sv% in the round robin mirrors king henry's 3.16 GAA and murray's .889% SV. I'd be too embarrassed to even consider publishing it though =[ NVM xG against, HD saves/shots against/quality of shots etc. let's just make it simple kappa.
