How long ago did they trade Sergachev for leJonathan Drioun? I remember the Montreal's media saying it would be "Jonathan"'s team and that they finally have their #1 center

Why is Bergivin still in place? I see him working out in the morning at the Brossard's gym, he works harder on his shape than on his fuckin hockey team

He lucked out on the Domi deal but I think on the long term he'll look like shit once again

Hes not the best and hes not the worst. Id say that id rather see him as the dg instead of having another gainey. I kinda wish he would have pulled the trigger and make a trade with edmonton for lucic and their first round pick as it was rumored

Why don't you go ask him next time you see him?

Easier to say it on the internet I guess

Gainey was pretty treadmill as a GM I agree, but what good moves would you say bergevin has done that makes him any better? He's overpaid players that won't win them Cups and gotten rid of some that might have.

Domi trade, pacioretty trade, danault trade, plekanec trade. For his worst moves id say signing carey at 10.5 and poorly handling the pacioretty situation before trading him and the defensive situation for last 2 years. As for now i consider him an average dg. Hes way better than a lot of dg in the league (mcphee, phoenix dg, chiarelli, stan bowman) but way worse than the top dgs (poise, sweeney, yzerman)

I'll give you Danault and Domi for sure, even if they weren't steals in terms of overall value, but then you realize that's all you've got in the + column when he signed a goalie to that insane contract + exchanged a franchise puck-moving dman for an aging defensive one where you only got 1 year of value off that exchange? Doesn't look good to me. I like the fact that he tried to get the team younger and sort of rebuild but then you're paying Price and Weber for so long it basically invalidates that strategy.

His worst move was trading subban for weber, i would have been happy to trade him for a good forward but trading him for a slow ass veteran with “leadership” in a game that is getting faster every damn year it doesnt make sense at all

At this point i would have taken ellis + a prospect
