Why look to trade a puck moving offensive defenseman if your Ottawa just to go look for the exact same player again?

Like every team wants one and why trade him away just to have to get another? Unless he wants out then ya trade for something in return rather than letting him walk free

hes deal expires in 1 year and he definetly not gonna continue in sens, so obv sens try to get max value. if they dont trade now, they MUST trade next summer and then he maybe isnt so valuable (possibly injurys etc)

2) Karlsson wouldn't want to stay here anyway

I still think they are going to try to negotiate a contract in the summer before any trade though, lots of media trying to get clicks
