Dallas lost it's biggest asset, and doesn't have much else left besides Robidas. They're first line will be a great line when they gain some experience, but hard to think Dallas even has a good shot at the playoffs.
Calgary doesn't have much offense, but more than Dallas. Kipper can change a game. Still not a real playoff contender, but I'd put them over Dallas.

My vote went to Calgary.

Calgary does not have more offense than Dallas

That's like saying Toronto has more offense than Washington.

These polls are ridiculous anyway because the Canadian teams will all win in landslides.

Last year Calgary was tied for 7th in goals per game, and Stars were in the Bottom half of the league.
Take Richards out of that, they fall even further.

Look at the divisions. Calgary got to beat up on Edmonton, Minnesota and Colorado. No team like those in the Pacific, but anyone who actually looks at the players can tell Dallas has a better offense.

Dallas is easily a betterteam than Calgary. Kipper is washed up and didn't have a strong year and he's only getting worse. Couple that with a bad defense, streaky and lack of a consistent point producers outside of Iginla.

Pretty safe to agree that neither team has a good chance at the playoffs this season.
Dallas does have a better future imo though.

Neither will win but would give edge to Calgary because of Iginla and Kipper
