Jordan Poole over the last few months & playoffs has kicked it up a notch. Above any Maxey level. Its truly insane.
Over the last 18 games of the regular season he was averaging 25 ppg, 5.5 apg, 4.3 rpg, on 42% from 3pt & is THE best FT shooter in the NBA, (right behind him Curry hehe),
& in the playoffs?! He's shooting a INSANE 49% from 3 pt with 22.7 ppg & 6 assists, that even including a couple of dud games against the Nugs.. All higher splits than Maxey.. We are seeing both grow in front of our eyes & I think we all see the transcendence of Jordan Poole..
This all while having to play off the bench some games, start another game, role changed another game.. Its crazy, Maxey doesn't have to worry about that.
Maxey literally had to become a starter and thrown into the fire because Ben Simmons was a bitch.
I'm sure if Maxey was asked to come off the bench and score a bunch of points, he could probably do it too, but we don't have a Klay Thompson and Steph Curry to start in his place.
Poole has the range and is a good shooter and playing very well, but all the other stuff you said is fluff man.
Like I don't see Steve Kerr thinking he's playing 4D chess and bringing Steph off the bench is supposed mean anything for Pooles case lol. He probably would've gotten the same amount of minutes and playing time either way.
Over the last 18 games of the regular season shooting 42%? wut? Wasn't Maxey the 2nd best or top 3 @
42.7% in the
whole NBA for a
WHOLE season? This seems like a better sample size to use.
As for "above any Maxey level"
Tyrese Maxey had a 38pt performance in round 1, in the playoffs too...
https://www.espn.com/nba/game/_/gameId/401429874Not to mention playing vs the nuggets defense and getting Jokic on a switch to a guard is BBQ chicken for every Warriors guard, very different playing than playing a Raptors team of full of 6'8 guys that can switch. 1 series, too small of a sample size in very different situations to come to a conclusion.
Let's be honest, we don't watch the Warriors enough to know, and you don't watch enough Sixers to be able to know either, so let's just go with the fact that they're both gonna be good for a long time.
