Instead of stay with the rookie LeBron James. Would Boozer have been the best player LeBron had over Mo, Antawn, and Big Z? Probably, right? What could we read into by this decision made by Boozer?

Maybe Boozer saw into a future where LePad is subbing himself into 30 pt blowouts to get his garbage time stats. Meanwhile reporters still giving King Pad full credit for wins and blaming not enough help in losses, par the course

it wasn't a significant amount of extra money that Boozer got by signing with Utah instead of Cleveland, and the year before he made that decision (right before King James was drafted) he made a promise to Cleveland that he would re-sign with them (with the understanding he was about to get a big payday)

Per Boozer: "I go into a meeting with the GM and the owner, Jim Paxson and Gordon Gund, my agent Rob Pelinka, and me. We’re in a meeting. We want to take care of you. You’ve had two great seasons here. I almost made the All-Star team as a second year player. I almost got Most Improved Player. I was on the come-up. They were like If we take away your option to make you a free agent and I was like Cool. I’m ready to get paid. I’m 100% on-board with staying in Cleveland, there wasn’t a handshake because that would’ve been illegal. I couldn’t do any of that. So we just had a great conversation."

I think he was jealous of Lebron. But probably most were at the time.

After the 2003–04 season, the Cavaliers had the option of allowing him to become a restricted free agent, or keeping him under contract for one more year at a $695,000 salary. The Cavaliers claimed to have reached an understanding with Boozer and his agent on a deal for approximately $39 million over six years, which he would have signed if they let him out of his current deal.

Cleveland then proceeded to release him from his contract making him a restricted free agent. During this period, the Utah Jazz offered Boozer a six-year, $70 million contract that Cleveland chose not to match due to salary cap considerations.[5] On July 30, 2004, Boozer officially signed with the Jazz.

that's a massive difference

Oh god Boozer. I always loved him before he came to Chicago, then when he got here it was a true love hate relationship.
