He's incredible defensively. If he was a decent offensive player he'd be starting consistently and would get 30+ minutes per game and would win DPOY at some point soon.

His offensive game is just so weak though, it's hard to play him big minutes.

You can never stop can you?

Yes he’s shown to be a capable wing defender but a DPOY candidate? Not all Sixers players develop on this dream curve you have in your head, I mean don’t you remember eating your words on Simmons about 3 years in a row?

Um, what?

Matisse is easily a legit DPOY candidate if he played heavier minutes, this isn't exactly reaching it's common knowledge. Right now he has the 7th best odds to win DPOY in the NBA, and that's playing just 25 minutes per game lol.

I mean he made the All-Defensive team last year on just 20 minute per game for fucks sake...that's absurd (and unheard of). He's a generational talent defensively which is no surprise considering he was historically great in college, but unfortunately his offensive game hasn't caught up at all.

Also, what's there to eat words about Simmons? Perennial All-Star every year, perennial All-Defensive 1st team, and an All-NBA selection all within his first 3 or 4 years before even turning 25? The man is more accomplished by 25 years old than anyone the Lakers have drafted in the past two decades LMAO.
