The NBA is on tap to be a better product starting next season now that players won’t be able to draw fouls as they once did.
A new NBA rule change will cut down on James Harden and Trae Young’s free-throw attempts. The NBA’s competition committee discussed a rule that would prevent players from using unnatural motions on jump shots to draw fouls, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Those rules will now be implemented and result in either an offensive foul or no-call.
Refs will now be trained to make sure it happens starting next season.
It seems awkward shooting motions to the refs discretion will be the determinant factor. Also, not that it just shouldn't be called a defensive foul but ALSO they are supposed to call the offensive foul when egregious.
