I really like how Jim’s cheesesteaks are made with sliced top round angus whereas the other guys make their sandwiches with ribeye

There is one outside Philly in Media, PA that has the best cheesesteaks.

Pats is named after a racist football team and Genos is Italian.

So for me, it defaults to Jim's.

this is only the tourist spots that I know of, are there any hidden gems that you would rank over Jim's?

Like anyone from the Philly area will tell you....Pats and Geno's are just tourist traps. They're cool to visit if you're not from the area and want to check out some famous spots, but the cheesesteaks are far from the best. There are a lot of better places.

Jim's is legit, but the best in Philly is Dalessandro's IMO.

Dalessandro's, John's Roast Pork or Steve's are the absolute best places to get a cheesesteak. Can't go wrong with any of those.
