I wouldn't say it's completely dead, but at this point the overall goal of the process (being a title) has not been achieved. They were still able to acquire two cornerstone pieces, for 4 years of tanking. Worth it? That's up for debate, both are top 20 players in the NBA.

The front office has squandered away picks, made bad signings/decisions on roster construction, and the team severely under-performed this year, needless to say. But their two young stars are 24 and 26.

Will they win a title in the near future? Who knows
