Zion Williamson said he's ready to be the face of an NBA franchise.
"Honestly, yes. I do think I’m ready," said Williamson when asked if he's ready to handle being a franchise cornerstone. "You have to think that way. If not, you might be playing the wrong sport." We fully expect Williamson to hit the ground running his rookie season, as he reeks of generational talent and will be playing in Alvin Gentry's fantasy-friendly, uptempo system. He'll cost you an early-round selection, but we suspect he'll be worth it.

look at the greats of the league look in their eyes, i just don't see it with Zion all i see is the words IF SUSPECT.

The media keeps hyping him as we know they would, but more reports come out saying hes up to 285 now.

Anthony Bennett is a horrible comparison, and I don’t think demeanor is nearly as important as talent. I think he will be a solid player. He needs to work on his jumpshot. Pelicans a fringe playoff team

There’s Vocal and nonVocal players and on court leaders/locker room cancers. Talent usually always is more important than attitude

to me Zion just looks like another athletic player and yes i watched him play but not ever single game.

Randle and Bennett (and even Kawme Brown) make sense as comparisons only insofar as hes an in-between size player. But so were Zbo and Sir Charles. You never know what you'll get from thick-bodied mid-sized players but from what I can tell, Zion is going to be really, really good. I'm not calling him a future MVP or HoFer just yet because the NBA game is very different from the college game, but he dunked from a standing two foot start with two hands over some shot blockers who had steps on him. He's just a freak athlete. His unreal physical talent may be enough to launch him to superstardom.
