If Sixers don't trade Embiid soon, then they are absolutely dumb IMO. He has peak value now, he will start to decline soon, team is not a contender with this roster, not a great FA destination. The experiment has failed, time to do a rebuild.

If the Sixers don't trade Embiid, I believe it will be a Beal situation.

This is a team that had the third best record in the NBA, and went 42-16 over the final 58 games of the season (best record in that span). Top 10 defense, top 10 offense.

Took the Celtics (championship favorites entering the playoffs) to 7 games, and had them dead to rights up 3-2 on them with game 6 at home. Of course, Doc Rivers is the GOAT of blown leads, so that didn't work out in our favor but that issue has been fixed by bringing in Nick Nurse.

Trading Embiid and blowing it up is called overreacting. Especially when you've got a rising star in Maxey who is quickly evolving into a franchise cornerstone. They've got multiple max salary spots opening up in a year as well, and have maintained great cap flexibility to be in good position.

The Harden situation is the only challenge this point. Otherwise, they're fine lol. You don't trade the reigning MVP and scoring champion at the prime of his career unless a team offers something ridiculous.

He is at peak value, but you don't trade an MVP unless you're officially throwing in the towel. I personally am waiting to see one more post season from him before giving up on him.

They should trade everyone not named Maxey. Embiid can say whatever he wants and pretend he still wants to be there but he knows that no player wants to play for Morey now and they will go nowhere with 70 million in cap space wasted (Tobiass and Harden).

It's in the best interest of all parties to go their seperate ways.

Wait doesn’t Morey have a track record now of players saying he double crossed them?

That would be news to me. Who else has said that? Lol

And Harden only said that because Morey isn't trading him fast enough for his liking. Morey is doing what's best for the team, which is his job lol

CP3 and Westbrook aired bitterness about how Morey lied to them too

Given how the Harden situation is going, I couldn't imagine the return they would want for Embiid even exists in the NBA.

I’m sure they could get a crazy offer from like Toronto, OKC, Orlando, Detroit, Charlotte, or Portland

Maybe Portland would backpedal on their rebuild to pair Dame with Embiid? Give up a couple young prospects and a truckload of picks/swaps
