From 99-07 the Lakers were 135-137 in games Kobe played but Shaq did not. From 99 to 04 Shaq led the Lakers to a 60+ win percentage in games Kobe missed. Every stat shows Kobe wasn't clutch, or that his impact is overstated, but his church of fans will swear the math is just lying somehow.

Aesthetically, Kobe was one of the most fun players to watch. His step back mid range jumper was the closest thing to MJ so far and we might not see a player 90% what MJ was ever again.

Nah just random, thought it was interesting when I came across. It's a really polarizing topic, either people think Kobe is a top 10 GOAT candidate or nowhere near. Kobe's ring count gets overblown because of Shaq. Similarly AD's success gets overblown now because LeBron carried the weight. As much as Lakers fans shit on LeBron for not being Kobe, he did put the team on his back in the bubble.
