Reports say that the Raps are not interested in trading OG

Do they really think running it back is going to be any better than last season?

They have multiple assets deteriorating in Siakam, GTJ, FVV, and OG

Looks like Masai is either attempting to fleece somebody to get these guys OR he is really delusional enough to think that the Raps are in no need of a roster shake up. IMO Barnes is majorly overhyped, solid player but nowhere near a franchise cornerstone. They need to be rebuilding and trying to add prospects that fit Scotties timeline better

in terms of team performance the only real problem was this year not at least making it past the Bulls.. Toronto wasn't supposed to regress like it did so thats a bit on Masai. We weren't winning a ring last year, but we wanted at least 6 games in a decent first round..

You have to remember how easy it is to become a shit tier team like Houston and give up all your assets for picks only to be bottom of the barrel for the next 5 years anyway with no super star no roster and nothing exceptional to look forward to. Houston is fucked for the next 5 seasons still. Just because they wanted to "shake up" their roster.

Look at The Nets! They are done for the next decade. Literally a massive smoking crater is all that is left of the Nets after they have been picked clean by the league.

Sure Blow it all up. But the last 3 years has shown anything its that shaking up the roster just to shake up the roster doesnt work.

Houston was a solid treadmill team before 'shaking it up'

Nets were bad, but now somehow worse after 'shaking it up'

This is Scotties Third year. Im not paying FVV a max. He wants a Max. The no cap era of basketball fucking poisoning these dudes minds to think dey all worth 150mil. FVV. bro. You score 10 points sometimes. And you fucking miss too many crucial shots, and not only that but you DONT FUCKING PASS THE FUCKING BALL FVV. BE GONE.

I want to sell enough to make Scott the primary ball handler.. Put the fucking ball in the kids hands and let him fly all season. If that means OG and Siakam and Poertl and Achiuwa are the rest of the starting 5 I am happy.

After this year, I don't think he has any excuses unless he does tear it all down. If Masai doesnt tear it down and we have another mediocre year then ya Blame Masai but Im not blaming him until it happens twice. as a Great man once said, Fool me once, can't fool me again.

Big if true!!!

I’ll edit once I finish reading this wall of text lol.

Edit: Masai won a 2019 first raptors win with Kawahi.

Lowry n Marc Gasol, Ibaka, siakem, Kawahi, Fred VFT, Norman Powell, JLin, that was a good azz team, front court lots of size n all can shoot threes. Lowry a pit bull n shoots nicely on threes. Fred was clutch had no fear!!

Warriors though lost Klay game 6 last quarter, only had KD for half a game.

Guess raptors can build around OG/Siakem/scottie moving forward. But definitely need depth and sign or trade for a superstar like Kawahi to compete for a Chip again.

With the Cheap ass prices coming out right now in these last 72 hours I would wait and sell the farm after the draft.

He could run it back see how the team does and then do a mid season fire sale, risks injuries though.

Don't sell everyone at once like Wizards did, Teams will fuck you over and offer nothing because they know you are selling the farm.

Teams have to operate way more discreetly and not come out and say we are selling the Farm and going into full rebuild.

The difference with the Wizards is they had horrible management to get stuck with those contracts. Beal had a no trade clause, so he could dictate exactly where to force the Wizards to trade him and what package they could accept in return for him, plus he has a gigantic contract that he doesn't deserve...

KP is injury prone and close to just walking and leaving them empty handed. To get Jones and some picks is better than nothing

The Raps have more valuable pieces because they are under better contracts, altho Masai is pretty delusional about what he expects in return for Spicy P and OG especially
