1000% even Nick Nurse acknowledged and said he is earning more time. Nurse is still learning the team and trying different pieces to see what works. Springer is exciting to watch but still raw and makes stupid mistakes at times.

One thing we know doesn't work is Marcus Morris. They have not looked good with him on the floor. Get Oubre and Batum back and send Morris back to the end of the bench.

Don't think I have ever said he was a poor defender. He has always been at least average. But now he is learning to defend with his size and is clearly more comfortable with defensive rotations.
That's really helping him close out on attackers using different angles + he can shade defenders differently just from feeling more comfortable when the defense is maintaining shape/rotating



Not referring to you, a lot of people, even analysts, underrate him defensively. Same with PP.

He passes the eye test and his defensive metrics back it up too.


Hauser had the #1 defensive rating in the NBA last season lol. 106.4

It's a result of teams breaking their offense so often last season to hunt him. As if he's Duncan Robinson or something. They'd legit throw their offense out the window and just iso him and it wouldn't work nearly as well as planned. He's capable of holding his own on that end for sure.

He’s had a bad start to the season, but he doesn’t suck lol

He hasn’t found his shot yet, but everyone knows he can make it rain. Unlimited range, pesky defender, and hustler on the offensive boards.

Comfortably in a championship contending rotation, lol I don’t think it’s fair to say he sucks.

That is true. I did love when opposing stars tried to iso him thinking it was a free bucket and he just refused to let them go by him.

It’s still happening too. Not sure when opposing teams will learn.

Not sure that blowing a 16 point lead in today's NBA regular season means much. Bound to happen a few times in 82 games.

1 pt difference is enough for me though

You know what was great about the win last night? The last 3 possession of the game, the Celtics went twice to Jrue-Unicorn PnR and Derrick White in the corner....took full of advantage of the defense allowing Porzingis to get switched onto Dennis because they didn't want to leave Tatum or Brown :rofl:
Sooo beautiful not having to force anything to JB and JT who would obviously get draped by the defense
Mazulla nailed every call last night without needing to call a TO. Love his growth.
