Starting to feel like last years start

Down 15 with 4 minutes to go against Philly is not what we want to see after failing to capitalize against the Wolves who dealt with foul trouble all game

Made it interesting over the final minutes though.

Funny to see the Celtics try to deploy the same defense as last season with Smart, but with Jrue now. Have him defend Embiid, ans then throw an additional defender or two at him from the weak side to try and trap and force a turnover. Jrue is a hell of a defender but I don't think he's going to be as scrappy and annoying getting under Embiid in those situations.

Horford looked.....old as fuck. Yall better hope he finds that fountain of youth soon lol

Idk where this idea that he’s a bad defender has come from? Maybe because he’s white? Idk

He passes the eye test and his defensive metrics back it up too.

Still such a fantastic player that can do a little bit of everything
Not getting the respect he deserves because of his age but he can still get it done
Forget his 3 point shooting, 5 Blocks? So impressive

Jaden Springer surely earned some more minutes going forward? He was electric yesterday. A few dumb fouls, but you have to love the fire he brings.



Don't think I have ever said he was a poor defender. He has always been at least average. But now he is learning to defend with his size and is clearly more comfortable with defensive rotations.
That's really helping him close out on attackers using different angles + he can shade defenders differently just from feeling more comfortable when the defense is maintaining shape/rotating
